Bloodstone shows how many people you invited to the beta, Rifle is a reward from the tutorial so you don't have to do it and you can leave the new players alone.

Venomancer was a Hydralisk in WC3, not necessarily still one in Dota 2.
There is a resemblance though, as well as a rumor of his redesign.

I call his Dota 2 design "not-Hydralisk." I'm not big on a redesign, but as long as they don't do something like turn him into a humanoid it's fine.
