VCE is nothing but a stupid hack of a inefficient, limited events system. I don't see how anybody can live with such a horrible way of creating variable-oriented events. The whole thing should be done as text with things such as copy, paste and cut, with proper syntax-based conditionals, loops and functions. A small, simplified programming language.

That would be pretty cool, but it shouldn't replace the original, as it would be much harder to get used to.
