Author Topic: F2P vs P2P  (Read 2146 times)

This question is essentially "do you have money to spare on P2P games?"

90% of my daily game playtime consists of f2p titles.
I just find them way more addicting, even though my Steam library is filled with p2p games which I enjoy playing a lot

I dread monthly fees however I'm fine with P2P for one-time payments. F2P is good for getting right into the game and testing desirability.

I prefer either, unless there's a monthly fee involved.
However, I don't like Team Fortress 2's style of F2P, wherein buying ONE THING in the shop is considered paying to play.
You could, in a sense, buy Team Fortress 2 for a dollar and 25 cents.

I can't play any game with a cash shop really. I'd rather just pay $15 a month and not have to worry about whether I am going to be useless if I don't buy the $30 +15 mega axe from the cash shop or the god armor of godliness. I just feel safer knowing everyone has to pay the same and that's that.

P2p. I can't believe some people expect big companies to release their hard worked on games for free.

What you're stating is not that difficult to do.

I've never known anyone who "expects" big names to release their triple-A titles as f2p content

F2P

I'm poor as stuff. :panda:
you're not alone lol

or i just have more important things to spend on.
thats what i tell myself

I like Free to Play, as long as it isn't Pay to Win.

I like Free to Play, as long as it isn't Pay to Win.

I've been in lots of F2P games which have been called P2W, and I've done perfectly well without paying a penny.
I think the people who complain about P2W are just really bad at the games they whine about, if I'm honest

P2P.
Except for Guild Wars 2.
But in that case i'm getting CE because its going to be amazing.

A mix of them.

Meaning I like having the games themselves free, but having some features costing money is also cool.
