you should really play gta iv, there is a lot of blowing stuff up and shooting, while having a pretty nice story line. it may not be first person, but on your first time playing it, it's pretty emotional. also you can choose outcomes for some missions.

Try Mass Effect. The hardest difficulties will kick your ass, but if you use your brain, you'll survive. Clearing rooms of enemies on Insanity is soooo rewarding.
