Shadows and Shaders update

I have decided that the server's dedicated will not be updated until kniaz can see his baby in shadows.

My apologies, this means your clients are not compatible with the server.
God damnit Lugnut!
Or are you kidding? I can't tell.

Too bad I have an intel graphics card :/

Too bad I have a craptop.

Too bad I have a Toaster tapped to a PS2 with wires going into a Iphone.

Well, I should probably invest in a new laptop. Wish I could stop this crashing.

Seems that might be some time, as I'm getting this issue and cannot launch Blockland:
  • Crash on startup after "Activating Package: CanvasCursor" - Appears to be related to intel hardware, I have successfully duplicated the issue

Pray for a fix :/

Also, for all the doomsayers for the Bluzone- you're not doing much to pick it back up. I've never had problems with these groups, because my current character avoids these groups. It's just like real life, man. You avoid the people you don't like/trust and chances are you'll be much better off- it's how Peter has survived so long.

Hey, Knaiz, Easy fix, go into your blockland files, find prefs.cs inside /config/client and find the string named the following:

$pref::Video::fullScreen = "1";

and set that stuff to zero.

I don't play in full screen.

Welp.

I can't help, then. It looks like you'll need to wait for a patch from what badspot's saying.

About the whole corrupt factions thing... I like the fact that it's a group who thinks they're doing good, and sometimes does, but they have a dangerous reputation. It makes another conflict for everyone else. They're sort of like bandits, only a lot less dangerous... And they're accidentally evil.

I'm annoyed that all this had to be said on the thread, because now they'll probably do something to change it... Which only gets rid of a possibly great period in the RP...

We should try to avoid changing things (including voiding) out-of-game, because like this, it can kill opportunities for great situations.

I'm getting really tired of people complaining 24/7 about how they don't like how an rp is turning out. Yes, roleplays take time to prepare, but you can't expect every little twist in turn and you have to expect things to happen that you didn't plan.

Yeah man

I can understand people complaining if their character was killed off for a bad reason, but other than that there should be no complaints.

This is why I don't like locking doors exclusively for groups. This is why I removed the padlocked door for the sewer base.

People just aren't content with holding up in an abandoned building for some reason, and insist they have their own base. I guess I can understand this, because it makes you feel exclusive, but it really isn't needed.

My character, Peter, is a member of a small group of survivors and we've made home in an abandoned building and almost never get interrupted- we didn't and don't need an exclusive/special base.

If you want to make an area exclusive for yourself, just be aware there are other people in the server. I understand being territorial and trying to remain in-character, but at least try to remain courteous and aware that the other characters are actually being played by people, and you don't need to set out to ruin their experience.

Share the server. Having a shoot-on-sight doctrine doesn't add much to the roleplay.

I understand there are certain contexts or situations where doing this seems necessary, but make it clear to other roleplayers. If you make this clear then the other roleplayer has no reason to complain.

Not pointing any fingers here, by the way.

Also, for the whole getting around the blue door thing, I really don't care. It's not a bug or an exploit. That building is, quite simply, just more secure than the others.
