Oh yeah, he mentioned in the server that he saved the build and loaded it up; searching the whole map for weapons and such. His biggest complaint was that he couldn't find the well-hidden Blue Key.

I kind of wish we could ban people who constantly badger us to open the server, just so when it is up they can feel like stuff.

Before Awdax gets too heated up, I just want to say this:

We currently have 4 hosters. That's a pretty good amount. I've had a word with Electrk and he'll be hosting more regularly soon, we just need to run through a few quick administrative guidelines.

The Bluzone doesn't run like you think it would- where the admins have to just press a button to change it from night/day and occasionally spy people and keep the server tidy. That's the role of a regular admin. Super Admins control basically everything in the server. Sometimes it involves sitting in front of a console and reading everything you say. Yes, that's right, we hear everything. Often I just sit on the Telnet client and read while communicating to some admins on skype.

Regular Admin is a privelidge, and Super Admin is a role. Regular Admins simply relieve the current hoster of some duties so they can get a chance to roleplay as well. Currently we have a pretty big administrative team, and while I'll agree and say upfront some are better than others I'm still extremley fond and respectful of them all, as you should be to.

I do not pester my admins about hosting. Ask anyone of them and they'll sureley agree- the most I'll do is ask when they last hosted. If I'm not happy with something they've done, or if they haven't hosted in a while I'll actually talk with them and work something out. Just ask Electrk, as recently we've had a discussion about his role as a Super Admin and hosting times.

While, ideally, I would like to extend the hosting times I simply cannot meet everyone's request. As every other admin has certainly said, they have other things to do and this is perfectly fine. The Bluzone should be a fun and entertaining game, not a burden. The last thing I want is for my admins to get bored of their role because they do it all the time. Hosting, monitering and controlling the server can be very tedious and very draining.

But do know while I am looking to expand the Bluzone team and probably get a few more hosters, I don't feel it's such an incredible need. The current regular admins simply aren't ready to host the server yet. I don't mean to offend them, because they're performing beyond expectations and doing really well at their current role- it's just that once they do it for a while longer and I get much more comfortable with them then they can quickly earn the role of Super Admin.

So that's it, really.

We don't need more hosters, we just need a more understanding community.

It's nothing personal, we just get it a lot. I understand that you really want to play, but you need to understand that hosting the Bluzone requires a lot of work and we, the Super Admins, want to play as well. Rarely you'll see a single Super Admin in the server, as we often divide the roles amongst eachother because there's a lot to do.

Often when I'm in the server but not roleplaying/being responsive I'm actually just sitting there reading all the chat.

There's more to hosting the server than removing a password and making a minigame.

Good gravy, do people misinterpret.

First of all, why the hell would I want it.

Second of all, Audax didn't say what I said. What I said was, I saved the build and opened the BLS in notepad.

Third, you all completely ignore the fact that enough of the datablocks on Bluzone are private that they crash me when I try to load the save, as I mentioned earlier. Look back up, I did mention that there was a huge number of invalid explosion datablocks, among other things. EDIT: At least I think I said it here, I might have said it to Kniaz in a PM, not quite sure

Fourth, Kniaz saw my window design, that's what I hold my standards to. Every single build that I even bother with has something like that, and your build has none (no offense).

Fifth, every time someone releases a build they saved off another's server, they promptly get a horrible reputation and get banned from a ton of servers they've never joined. Coolguy55 and Nibbles are both perma'd from my server, even though my server has never had more than four people at once.

Sixth, I don't host anymore. This computer is so lame it can't handle the sheer number of bricks that any quality build has.

Seventh, I have autism, so when in social situations I often come off as rude or defensive when I do not intend to do so. This is one of those times.

Eigth, enough people know the bluzone that if it was ever released in any form I'd have someone at my throat in an instant.

Ninth, your server is good and unique, and nobody can do it quite like that. I only use original ideas, like a vertical grapple knife TDM that takes place along the side surfaces of an enormous tower.

Well, I might wind up leaving the bluzone altogether at this rate. Don't get me wrong, it's a great server, but I seem to have every authority figure mad at me for things both real (the pestering) and imagined (stealing and releasing the build). Furthermore, I can't work myself into the storyline at all; I'm an afterthought in the RP world.

I don't appreciate your jumping to conclusions about me and my habits, I told you on the dev server and here that your style is too simplistic for my tastes, and the window I built was only the merest glimpse of the excessive detail I put into my work.

I don't know what you're going on about anymore, and I don't think anyone cares about the "excessive detail" you put into your work. So stop trying to throw that into our faces when that isn't even a problem.
