Its not really for easy travel. Its for RP elements. Like say you started a new base in Gammaton, well you don't want to spawn in the main base.

The more you think about it, it really does add ALOT of new elements.

It's also less time-consuming; having to spawn at the main base and walk all the way to Gammaton would be quite a hassle.
