I don't think sci-fi is a bad thing, it's cool. Maybe make zombies more of a threat or play mote of a role in the RP

What I'm saying is that I agree Mutalids are enough. In my opinion it's bad enough they exist in the canon. I liked the first Bluzone's classic and originality where there were just zombies. But at least the Mutalids are related to the infection.

Basically, this. The Mutalids are perhaps the only sci-fi element you'll see, and they only exist because of the infection and creation of the Mutagen virus.
