Author Topic: Zombies in the Bluzone** [[CLOSING]]  (Read 585700 times)

God dammit, crashed again when changing the day length. Events weren't working anyways. No chat messages or sounds whenever it became night or day. Someone else try it, I give up.
Wait, should this part of the discussion be moved to the topic for day/night events in coding help?

No. This was supposed to be a quick fix I was doing to test them in the Bluzone. Didn't work, Knaz or Lugnut can try.

can someone sum up what's happening with the server?

Added onDay and onNight events
Crash

Lugnut updated the server to the newest release and enabled the onDay and onNight events. Every time I set up the day and night cycle though, the value was updated before I could finish and the days and nights were zipping by. Too much for the server to handle; it crashed. This happened a few times.

Lugnut said it was something with his events or something and fixed that, disabled them. I then set up the events to send chat messages and sounds when it was day and night, Lugnut enabled them - it didn't work. I went to change the day length again and the same thing as before happened.

Don't know why the chat messages and stuff weren't working when the cycle reached day or night, so I gave up. Knaz or Lugnut can try doing it.

Audax, You have accepted my unban, Yet im still banned. And i cant add you on RTB cause your blocking me. Please change these things, Thanks

I don't know who you are.
I doubt I blocked you, I have RTB uninstalled - waiting for updates to it so it works better with v21 and the new GUI and menu.

Erm, Ephialtes updated it to fix some stuff...

Okay. Just let me know when you're done.

Also, holy stuff. I don't think we need to constantly reload the bricks and everything and always make a new minigame. We'll still need an admin to be in the server at all times, but we won't need to clear the bricks and reload them, and make a new minigame.

Lugnut, you need to package a Bluzone GameMode and load the build as "Public." Holy stuff, this is great.

Actually I help to /reloadbricks under the hosting admins BLID, in-case they need to temporarily edit the map. And I thought the mini-game doesn't work if the owner isn't there, which is why it is made new each time. Making a Gamemode would be awesome, if it had no bugs!

I think natergator789 is Fanta, right?

That was just a small patch to fix some of the interface errors because of the new GUIs and everything. I'm waiting for a full update so it's fully compatible with the new GUI and everything. Like a colorset picker and stuff.

I don't get what you're talking about /reload bricks. Loading them onto the server as "Public" would mean anyone can use them and stuff, no problems. And the way GameModes work, the server makes it's own default and dedicated minigame with ID 999999 or something. That along with the bricks being Public means we won't have to set up a new minigame and reload the bricks each time if I'm correct.

Wait like everyone can build on them? That could be catastrophic....
Pretty sure its ID -1, but moot point. Its a great Idea, as long as only A/SA's can build, and not just every player.

Not unless when Lugnut puts together GameMode_Bluzone. He just needs to disable building, painting and the wand. That will prevent people from building on the bricks.

And before anyone says "Blah blah blah, what if an admin needs to build or fix something?" - Admins can leave the minigame set-up by the GameMode's script. So it's not a problem.

Public is id 888888

Yes. Public brick's ID is 888888 and the Minigame/GameMode's host is ID 999999.

Well then sweet! I will be happy to see it happen

admins and super admins cannot build on public bricks.
