I'm going to try to not go into depth too much, but your character is socially inept and there is no reason other characters should just randomly trust you and role-play adventures and stuff with you.
The reason other characters are treated much differently is because they are well known and trusted. The reason those other characters appear in events is because that player controlling the character knows how to role-play.
I was told I was good at RP-ing. :/
"Well that's just great. I cannot tell day from night, black from white, wrong from right. I don't know what's real anymore and what's not." -some tv show
The thing is, a character cannot really BECOME well-known and trusted without participating in events and such except near the beginning of the server's lifetime. Although many such characters are now dead, the players controlling them are still friendly with each other and they carry that trust over in the way of "helping the new guy". It's a cycle that perpetuates itself, unfortunately, because nobody will know of or trust my character until I can pull something off, and I cannot pull something off until someone knows of or trusts my character. Sure, I could stall for a few months IRL, but school starts tomorrow and I will be on a lot less. Even when I am on, I'd basically just be lingering around, not doing much, unable to gather any support or wedge myself into anything important unless one of the more well-known characters took pity on me, and I think we all know that's probably not gonna happen.
