Author Topic: Bethesda canceled interplay's fallout online.  (Read 1171 times)

Since when was forum advertising bannable?

Isn't like half the game section linked to some sort of forum?

9. Do not advertise other forums

But is posting a link to a forum you're referring to really advertising? Or was the rule created to maintain the fact that spamming posts about another forum is bannable and is not tolerated on this forum?

I'm actually quite curious to see just what was meant by that. :/

I don't know but I rather stick onto the fallout discussion.

You're allowed to post them, and they contribute to discussion.
Of course, that's assuming these forums even exist and that you aren't talking out of your ass.

wow loving hell i was looking forward to this

hate u bethesda, never gonna buy your games again

Bethesda didn't need to scrap their hard work. Interplay was working on Fallout online for years.

Bethesda had no interest in making it but they wanted the rights to it. When they got the rights to it they cancelled it.

This is about as bullstuff as copyrighting the word "scrolls."

If they own the rights to fallout they own any art, unless the fallout online team changes the name of the game and get new art i believe they can cancel the game for copyright.

Bethesda has the power to make a fallout MMO after they got big wads of cash from games like Skyrim, but they don't bother.

There was a game like fallout on steam that was a free to play mmo wasn't there?

Yeah it was Fallen Earth which isn't really that bad and it kind of is like Fallout.  But this is still really disappointing.

My only sources are official forums and I can't post them because that would be forum advertising.
I'm pretty sure it's acceptable to link to a specific thread, especially if it's relevant

advertising would be saying "hey look at this forum it's cool right"
saying "this thread on this other forum is where I got this information" isn't

Bethesda and other game companies huh

i'm still not going to believe you until you give us those sources. i've seen far too many lies from you.

in fact, why would they still have a PV13 section on their forum if the game was canceled over two years ago?
