Author Topic: Oh , you christian extremists and your caps lock!  (Read 2590 times)

Everybody, just stop arguing about religion vs atheism for the rest of your life and you'll get +9001 maturity. Go.
He's not, no one had even started arguing about religion vs. atheism, he's just talking about how religious extremists on youtube are acting stupid, its not a matter of what they believe in.

People need to stop with religion topics.

I think when they or someone around them questions their faith in any way, they go on some psuedo-intellectual rant yelling about how they'll be all "I told you so" once they are in cloud city. Sometimes it ends up on facebook

EDIT:
People's tried to convert me to Atheism *cough* Arnold *cough* but it doesn't work when your trying to convince me.

Now I don't care who someone is i'll stick by they're side as like as they're on my good side and all that. As most people already know i'm a hateful guy and all that but I've helped many.

I can't stand minoritys because "THEY TERK ER JERBZ!" but when one needed help I was right there to help.

I don't like many people but when me and my cousin seen a old man packing stuff into his store we took and helped him. We got paid back with any free drink we wanted.

I just enjoy helping people even if I don't like dealing with them
IMO people should be nice and caring without the fear that they will burn forever otherwise.. It's basic human compassion.

Observation: If you say "i'm nonreligious" it sounds more like you can be saved or something.

that's how I was raised.
This is the only reason why (just about) anyone is religious. They just listen to what their parents tell them.

It means the same thing, it's just that many people hold negative connotations towards the word 'atheist' or have an incorrect understanding of the definition of atheism.

We were watching a video in writing about "what would happen if the world's population was 100 people"
so if 1% of the world has aids, one person in the 100 would have aids right
it said "1 would be atheist.. 2 would be nonreligious"
i asked the difference (rhetorically)
she said "i think atheists still believe in some sort of spirit"
other then that she's smart though.

The vast majority of atheists are atheists because they don't want to be like their parents or the general population.

I'm not a creationist, I have full belief in Evolution, but I'm a Christian. People who use a broad term to Christians as "ROT IN HELL YOU ATHEIST SCUM!" rather than people who are open to new beliefs need to learn something about the whole religion.

Yay for moderates

*slams face into desk* People like this make my religion look bad.

I'm not trying to impede, but you can't not be creationist and still be Christian. That would be deism (belief in god without a bible) I think. Otherwise you're going against the bible.

That's quite an odd claim, do you have any credible source to back that up?

I'm not a creationist, I have full belief in Evolution, but I'm a Christian.
I just don't see a reason to believe in a god if countless things he has supposedly done can be proven false.

deism (belief in god without a bible)
Deism is the belief in a god that does not intervene with human affairs.
A deistic god could have created the earth and life, and then ceased all interaction with it.

Otherwise you're going against the bible.
There's a ton of things in the Bible that Christians completely ignore. You can't really say that ignoring one of them makes them not Christian, but ignoring all the other ones is completely fine.

There are all different kinds of Christianity, so don't get stuck with one.

Well, I believe that the Prophets used it in terms that we would understand in 400 AD. Like, do you really believe that there was a Good Shepard that led the sheep? Now, I'm not saying it has no meaning, but I'm saying that it's not "Well, in whenever, whenever, Two of each animal walked onto an Ark and there was a great Flood. No.

Honestly that's probably a good source of atheists. When something is pushed on you, you won't like it. They were probably tired of all the weird rules and wanted to know their options.

Yes, and by not interfering with humans, a deistic god cannot create a book of rules.
They really shouldn't be ignoring any rule, which includes not eating shellfish, having premarital love, masturbating, or wearing two different types of cloth at once.
There are all different kinds of Christianity, so don't get stuck with one.
I'm assuming the bible is a basis for Christianity, though.

Do you have any credible source to back your claim that the vast majority of Christians are Christian because of their parents? I don't really see how you can measure either of those really.
