My point was that during the Korean war the Chinese would have not let us take over North Korea, and in more modern times an unprovoked attack on North Korea would cause the Chinese to most likely intervene in some way. This could range from full scale intervention to simple aid with food and supplies to the North Koreans from China. We just don't know.

They might get aid from China before war starts too.  Let's not exclude that, even though it would be a huge waste for China too.

The only thing that will turn the tables is Russia.  Though, I think that Russia might not want to go to war unless it has a reason to defend itself.

U.S. did it before to keep tabs on China(at least that's what they taught us at history) so it's a possibility.

Americans nowadays are way too lazy and think war is stupid, I highly doubt a lot of americans would join up just because of patriotism.
