Author Topic: Man sues Ubisoft over copyright infringment on the AC series  (Read 2025 times)

This is sort of like that guy who tried to sue Rockstar because they stole his life story for San Andreas... 6 years after the fact

Not even close. The story was copied from work published in 2003.

Okay, $360m, but you have to factor in the cost to make AC3.

No... if you want to factor in AC3's cost you'd have to also factor in AC3's projected profits.

It'll probably suck, anyway.
In the entertainment industry having the number 3 on almost any title seems to be a curse that cannot be taken back
dmc3, halo 3, resident evil 3, doom 3, megaman 3, saints row 3, and fallout 3 to name a few.

are you implying that ep3 will be bad?

Developers always find some way to ruin an entire franchise, it's just something that happens

are you implying that ep3 exists or ever will exist?

Why is he suing them now? There have been three other AC games before this.

Saints row three doesn't exist, it's saints row the third.

Perhaps he's never even heard of the AC series until recently.

>game companies that have games with a 3 eventually go to stuff
>valve hasn't gone to 3 and is still good

I think Valve's on to something here, guys.

The concept of living other people's memories out was not unique to a book in 2003 lol.
