Most of the time no, they don't get banned.
Some do though, but not recently.

I'm sure reporting a lot is fine as long as the people you're reporting deserve it.

Reporting for stupid stuff is what gets the privilege removed. I should know. ;~;

Not to mention, are you sure you were banning for valid reasons?
Had they actually broken specified rules?
You might have seen someone banned for something similar before, but Badspot doesn't always follow his own precedents. Generally it's best to just report for things that are definitely broken rules.
