Author Topic: Idea: Projector with projector events  (Read 826 times)

Here's my idea: A projector with projector events.
Heres what I think the projector should look like:

I put that model together with Google SketchUp.
Now, for what it will do.
With the power of events, it will project a print on the brick it is pointing at. How will it do this? It will convert the brick it is being pointed at into a print brick, and it will project a certain image.
Now, onto the events.
OnProjectorActivated
OnProjectorProject
OnProjectorConvertToPrint
OnProjectorError
OnProjectorTurnedOn
OnProjectorTurnedOff

It will convert the brick it is being pointed at into a print brick
That's impossible.

That's impossible.
Are you sure? I am not trying to be mean.

Yes. I am.

Torque can't just simply "convert" a brick into a print brick.

Oh, and btw, this is already possible using existing events.
OnActivate and setPrint.

That's impossible.
not really
you'd just turn it into an already made print brick
seems easier to just have it as a print brick already and then use existing events though

That model doesn't look Blocky at all.

The model is sketchup stuff
But
The idea
I like it somehow

So it's basically a .dts brick that shoots a projectile when activated, and whatever "projector brick" in front of it sets to a certain print?
I think you could do that with normal events, relays, vce, and I don't know, but I think there was named relays?

That's impossible.

I think he means it's just a prop, and event mods follow it.

Although i think the event mods are unnecessary,we can still use the prop.

That's exactly what I said.

I'm not that good at making sketchup models.

It'd be better if it made a projection brick on whatever surface it hits instead of converting bricks.
