Author Topic: Nurgles Tiki Torch Island Detail questions WIP  (Read 2362 times)

Since my last Tiki island, I have been working on making an even bigger, better, and more tree-spammy build. This is no way near complete however, I just wanted to post some picture because I may never finish and because I wanted to show some progress. I would not like any ratings as it is WIP but any constructive advice would be fine, along with ideas for more plants. I only have a few right now.

Now... some pics

some road

overview of the road. Its pretty tight so outlets and bikes will be best, not jeeps

This is the begining of a mangrove forest on the other side of the island

The (unfinished) mountain and a bit of the next segment of island

-New Pics-

This is the "mini jungle" its just a couple of trees on the hill

the door to the "Tiki shrine" which is WIP

Side of the island and the finished road

top of the island, which come to the question? Volcano top or mountain top?

So, I have a few questions for you, (Volcano Top or Mountain top?) (few, some, or many trees on the side of the island) and, what should I work on next. (detailing first Island, building second island, or putting in tiki torches?)

Oh god that looks lovey already.

where are the tiki torches

i like your ability to make the plants fill in everything and make it so not-bland. and the coloring is nice too.
although it could use some larger, tall jungle trees imo

I think the bright green for the trees is a little obnoxious. Possibly a less bright green would make the build have a better feel.

Terrain needs work.

If you'd like better greens you could use Althur colorset included in the Althur save pack. It replaces the obnoxious purples and pinks in the Truenos updated specials rows with better greens and a dark brown.

I'd like that a lot. Right now i'm just using standard Truenos.

yeah, seems the green makes it look worse than what it actually is. it looks nice, keep it up.

i don't see any tiki torches

The tiki islands are a collection of builds that i've done over time, getting bigger and bigger. This isn't done yet so there isn't any "detail" like the torches.

Here are the other projects in this set

Terrain and small plants look good, the buildings and tall trees don't.

bump for the mini-update & questions
