Religion isn't an excuse to be a dumbass. Excusing people's actions for it can only apply to people who are under 8 years old and really haven't attempted thinking about why the world exists, nor are capable of doing so. Just because you're parents taught you to do something doesn't make it right.

I could say, "Since birth, I was taught by my parents and everyone I love that as a student of The God of stuffting on Planr's Doorstep, I must stuff on Planr's doorstep", but that doesn't excuse me stuffting on your doorstep.
