Author Topic: Near Death Experiences  (Read 2649 times)

Tried to melt ice with a lit lightbulb.
I could've been, but I wasn't electrocuted.

I was at Coney Island, riding one of those drop tower things and my seatbelt wasn't on all the way. I held on as tight as I could but it was scary as heck.

I almost cut my leg of with a hatchet I found when I was six. I pretended to be a lumberjack, but it failed.

I used to be a lumberjack like you, but then I took a hatchet to the knee.

I fell into the Deep River at about 5 or 6.

Now kid friendly! On topic: I fell head first onto the porcelain tiles in my aunts house climbing the side of the stairs from the side when I slipped. I saved myself by extending my arms and I broke my right one and nearly cracked my head open. It was terrifying

This user should be shot.

to the knee jokes are so old, now it's the sweetroll jokes.

Once in a wave pool
I almost drowned in a wavepool too
Wave pools are scary as forget when you are surrounded by people and get pulled deeper in and can't stay above

Awww, did someone steal your sweetroll?

Anyway, I have not had any near death experiences. I have almost drowned once or twice, but that doesn't really count.

I've been shot plenty of times.

Multiple, which weren't all that bad.
I am too lazy to type the first one out, and since I already made a rage comic for it, here it is:

Also, one time my friend almost died, I saved her, almost dying myself.
Here is the story of that:
I was hanging out with my ex-gf, Eden, at "The Fort" and we were climbing trees that had tipped over well before we found that place in the forest near the (Mycityhere) dock.  I turn around, because the branches got too narrow, and she went on without me.  I proceed down, then, when I reach the bottom of the tree we were on, I hear a scream and a snap.  I turn around, she is dangling from the fallen tree, I climb up the tree, freaking out, go up to her, reach my hand out, and pull her up.  We both could've died, or at least broken alot of bones, that day.

NOEDIT:
One time we were diving for rings at my ex-gf's b-day party, so I swam myself over to the (12 foot I think) deep end to dive for rings, I made an epic dive down, getting SO CLOSE to the ring, but running out of air, I come up, gasping for breath.  I fall into the water again, start to lose air quickly, come up and force myself over to the edge to grab on, bobbing on the way.  I could've died.

NOEDIT 2:
I was at my cousin's birthday party, I dove off of the diving board for the first time that day, it was such an adrenaline rush that I decided to do it again, this time on video.  I think this part of the pool was also 12 feet.  My cousin watched me to be sure I was safe, I was lucky he did, because I lost air, I bobbed up and down, I couldn't save myself.  He says, "Do you need help?", I bob up again and say *Gasp* "YES", I go down, then up again *Gasp* "ETHAN", down, up *Gasp* "SAVE", down, up *Gasp* "ME".  He then grabs me and pulls me over to the edge of the pool, where I can get out and run to safety, the lucky thing was, we had video proof :).

NOEDIT 3:

Quote
"Do you need help?"
*What I thought when I re-read this today*
"NO, I AM JUST PRACTICING MY ACTING IN A MOVIE THAT I'M NOT REALLY IN."

NOEDIT 4:
One time I was walking across the street, I forgot to look for cars, this white car comes zooming towards me, I'm guessing that it didn't see me, because it kept going.  I jumped from where I was into the ditch nearby, I tumbled and almost broke my legs.

Both of mine involve water, slipping, and my head.

Once, I slipped at the edge of a swimming pool and fell underwater. I was trying to swim up but it's incredibly hard to swim up directly after you just slipped and fell under the water. As a result, I managed to swim full-speed directly down. It's amazing how much pain you can cause to your head in that manner.

The other time, I was going down a stairwell just a bit too fast, slipped on some water (it had been a rainy day), fell backwards, and hit my head.

The really horrible part is that everything is in slow motion when it happens, so you have just enough time to go "OH stuff" but not enough to do anything about it.

Is it bad that nothing bad has happened to me?
