Well today began with the Arlington Cemetery
It was long, boring, and tiring
But as always, pretty sad
Someone in the band had great grandparents buried there, and she had never even been to DC
So we went to go let her see
While we were over there, there was a funeral going on very close
21 gun salute and Taps
It was sad even though I didn't know the soldier, if it was one
There were also two graves nearby I paid special attention to
One was Dennis McNamara, who had received a purple heart and a bronze medal
Purple hearts are almost always sad to think about for me
The other I didn't pay attention to the name of, but at the bottom, it said "Our dance is over until we meet again in heaven"
Those three things combined almost made me tear up
But after that we went to some of the Smithsonian museums
My sub-group specifically, went to Natural History and the West Wing of Art
The first was great, and I'd be willing to go to DC again later in life, if only to finish looking around there and take more and better pictures
But the West Wing is the gay older art section
It sucked, plus it was full of female tits and penii
