Can anyone help? This is really something I'd like to use

It says it's a beta, just log in.  The app has never had an update.

Don't redl through iTunes. Go to the app store and get it

iTunes IS the app store.  Just on a computer.  The app is never different, seeing as it's had only one release.

Okay
But there's still the matter of Steam Guard
It tells me to type the code I get in my email, but it's not sending it

check what email you used in your account just to make sure? also this app had been updated on android @ everyone else multiple times.

Go into your steam settings, in the account tab, and see if it says steam guard enabled.  If it does not, go into "Manage Steam Guard Account Security" and enable it, it's a great feature.  If it is enabled, check your contact email's spam folder, maybe it was put there.  If it still isn't there, make sure your email is verified, and if it is, then go into "Manage Steam Guard Account Security" and click the checkbox to deauthorize all other computers and try again, or try logging in on a new computer and see if the email is sent.

But there hasn't been a single iOS update.  It's been about 4 months since Valve has said it would come in about a week.

If at all possible, I'd like to not have to bother with steam guard at all
But until then
I have no computer to use Steam with
Much less a second one
So, in order to see if it's a problem with the app, or my account
Marcem, because you honestly seem the least likely to pull anything, can I get you to try to log into my account on your computer? This will require you to know my Steam password, but I think you could handle that
If you don't mind
You won't even really have to do anything except for attempt to log in, so that it will send the email

I don't really want to be responsible for your account, try logging in through the Steam Community website first.

Oh...
I just, as a last resort, checked my dad's email
There are at least ten emails from Steam Support...

Well I feel stupid
Thanks to whoever said to try the email I signed up with or w/e
