I almost think it might be this. The biggest reason I bit the bullet on Photoshop was so that I could export to PNG. That way, I wouldn't have to deal with the compression issue that Lightroom's JPEG exports would give me.
PNG isn't really made for photos
I haven't had any issue with JPEG compression in Lightroom. JPEG compression really isn't that bad unless you purposely turn the quality down.
If you want lossless compression, Lightroom can export as TIFF.

I don't know what it is, but I've always had issues with the JPEG compression. You're completely right with the fact that PNG isn't made for photos, but it's a far more common file type than TIFF and easier to propagate if needed.

You guys like instant photography?

It was neat back in the 90s but it's irrelevant in the digital age, because you can share a digital image faster than self developing film can develop

Yeah, I can agree with that. I do some though so I was wondering if you guys were interested in seeing some images.

I definitely will. I'm trying to get a better way to scan them besides from my smart phone app. Plus I might have an opportunity to take a few cool shots tomorrow so I want to include those.

Did some more lighting experiments.
I think this one came out pretty cool
This was shot in a dark bowling alley, only lit by blacklights, with a couple remote triggered speedlights on the side lanes.

Constructive criticism welcome

The backlighting is too bright and too even given the rest of the environment. It almost looks photoshopped.

Also shame on him for not wearing bowling shoes. >:(

Well it's a very dark bowling alley, and he has lights pointed straight at him, so the lighting on him isn't going to match the environment.

And there's very clear highlights on the edges of his clothes on the right side, and two different tones on the left, so I'm not sure how it's "too even"

Well, regardless it just feels "off." I think if you didn't symmetrically place the lights and diffused them a bit, it would help a lot.

Took a picture of our house. 200 ISO with a 15 second shutter speed.

Thoughts? I don't really like the lens flair, but oh well.
