Well sir, I do believe ghost do exist to a point. I wouldn't exactly say that ghost are white blankets with two white holes in them for eyes, but rather spherical orbs we cannot see with the naked eye. Ghosties, from experience, are either spherical orbs, which can interact with people in some cases, or even silowets in some cases. Just like your case too, they can be nothing but a black shadow.

Once my Uncle died a few years back, my Aunt could feel his presence close by.

I've seen them in orbs, shadows, blobs, full body shadows, full body blob shadows, full face no body, full face blurry body, and I have yet to see a perfect one that I can recall.
