"Your daughter was near our safehouse, and you don't expect our men to shoot her on sight? That would be like going into a nuclear waste dumping area knowing it's dangerous and complaining about that person getting cancer from that facility".

My head pops up when I hear the sirens. I take one last puff of the cigar and give Koch the rest. Right as I'm about to walk out I look at him straight in the eye, "Mess with my business here and I swear to god I'll kill you."

I was standing outside the car, smoking, with a gun on my back. "Just glad you're letting me smoke..." I mutter as the man digs the gun into my hoodie.

"Put that thing out and get in the loving car, it's the 5-0." I say trying to wipe the blood out of my suit. We shove the boy into the car and speed off. "So buddy, I could've sworn that was dollar bills floating out of that cigarette instead of smoke. Are you going to tell me what it was?"

"If you let me smoke the damn stuff, I'll tell you everything."

"I'll let you smoke when we get to the hotel. If that's equal to cannabis not in public. We have strict regulations in this organization." I say going about 135 MPH.

"The name of Jesus is cannabis? I just made this with..." I say, voice trailing off as I realize what I'm doing is stupid. I'm being set to give my secrets away! I smoke some more, ignoring the orders of the man, filling the car with the smoke.

We pull into the hotel's parking garage. "Yuri, have some smirnoff brought up to The conference room with 2 iced glasses with a twist." "Yes, sir." "Come, boy." I escort him to the conference room. I pour the vodka. I hand a glass to him. "So about that, oddly colored smoke?"

I set the glass down and push it away slightly. "It's from the cigarette I was forced to make for five years. I got addicted to the damn stuff and I was told after I was hit by a car, causing a pile up during my high induced escape, that the captain of the Enforcers or some stuff like that wants me out of the hands of the men making a buttload of cash off my work..." I explain as the smoke rises from my mouth.

"I like your style kid." I take a sip of the vodka and squeeze my eyes to swollow it. "Tell you what. This is a formal invitation to join brat·stvo. As long as you don't try to sell the stuff to the guys we'll take care of ya. Whaddayou say?"

"The Enforcer who patched me up seemed to know what she was talking about, plus, I don't know what I'd be getting myself into if I accepted your invitation. I might end up making drugs in a crappy basement for five years again..." I say as I blow smoke in the man's direction.

"Look, we aren't forcing you to make the stuff. Do we look like a monday druggie gang to you? But if you do sell it in the name of the brotherhood we want at least a 10% share."

"I never intended on selling the stuff in the first place! My father let the word out that the stuff had no drawbacks. He just smoked is so often he never suffered from withdrawal. The withdrawal is horrible, but it managed to get me out of the hospital. Anyways, after he let the word out, these men... they killed my parents and took me away. Had be fed and locked in a basement for five years making the drug so they can get rich. I had set their main building on fire after I got my emergency stash for the road so they probably don't care about the money as of this point, they just want me dead." I explained.

I down the rest of the drink. "My daughter was killed the other day by the man in the hospital. I should have put a bullet in his head, I know your feeling. If you don't want to stay you are free to go. But I promise, we will not force you to do anything and we will protect you from petty street gangs if the need arises. Hell, if you want us to track down the men who killed your parents we will." I stand and walk to the balcony, observing the sky, filled with stars.

"Oh boy..." I mutter as I look down at my feet. "I don't know... I have yet to see what the Enforcers have to offer. The men are probably stationed at every corner as of this moment and I just don't know where to go next." I say as I think for a moment. "They're probably tearing buildings apart looking for me..." I mumble.
