Do you like Salvage?

Yes! I love it! I'll come on it daily.
It's cool. Sometimes fun. I'll come on it probably weekly.
It's so-so. I'll be on sometimes.
I'm not really into it. I will rarely join.
I absolutely hate it. Sorry, I'm not going to join.
I'll try it... Not so sure.

Wouldn't that lag?
Most towers tend to be very fragile, and very low in bricks. So there's no probably really if you do crush them. Although on the end hand, default structures would go tumbling down.

Perhaps only player created bricks can be tipped and cut down.

You could make the fallen pieces turn into piles of scrap and salvaging it would give you a few random bricks, and it can be salvaged multiple times. It would also be neat if you could blow the buildings up and take the pieces.

apparently my TMBI mod breaks salvage and just lets you build infinitely after picking up a brick

too bad for salvage

olol

after seeing this topic; i have a few suggestions to make

1) dont make the build more than 50% salvageable. the point is to have permanent buildings that you can bolster defenses to, rather than construct 100% new buildings from blocks you have to pick up
2) salvage opens up the possibilites of movable items spawns or explosive crates, which can vary in gameplay and create more unique battlefields without having to rebuild the whole area. you could have support units with salvage tools move 2x2 ammo plates up to the front lines, or others bringing weapon spawns out in the arena back to their own base. Although this can lead to OP teams, its something new.
3) Who said you have to provide 1x1 blocks and 32x32 baseplates for people to salvage? Give them 2x4x1 blocks and see less spam as a result.

Salvages hosted by Lord Tony completely put me off of the genre. But I'll be willing to give it another go now that he's out of the picture.
hah good times, being on his side

What i'm doing is building like a brick mine which has a handful of all the bricks i have. So, like a pile of 1s here and a pile of 2s there, so on and so forth.

Wouldn't that lag?
Spawn about 50 chocolate bars and dwand a structure with 50 bricks and see if it lags you.
