Author Topic: modmans zelda build  (Read 1891 times)

okay, so if you recall back to when i started porting zelda maps, i wanted to find a way to keep the maps working even after v21, but i soon gave up, and just decided to build them, so i'm starting with hyrule field. heres a few pics of what i have so far:

i really like this building style, so i hope i can stick with it through this project, cause this is basically a first for me. a lot of the style im using ive never done before, such as the rocky walls and the realistic looking trees. hopefully it doesn't look too terribly bad, but if it does, tell me so i can improve!

thats all for now, hope you'll enjoy/have enjoyed the progress

Build the owl. I also hope you have/will get music for this.

well i wasn't planning on music, but ill look into it

Looking good. Points on the rock terrain and realistic trees, misses on the flat grass terrain (no land is truly flat) and rock coloration. Try terraining the flat ground with plates to raise or lower the terrain surface gradually.

i will. i made it flat as a temporary thing, im going to raise the terrain later tomorrow or saturday

say, the build is starting out pretty accurate and looks great (although like Conan typed: terrain should gradually rise) besides that, it would be pretty neat if you could link this to the entrance forest to majoras mask and termnia or whatever its called w/ that clocktown

I believe this is from Ocarina of Time, which would not include Clock Town, which is from Majora's Mask. Unless you mean something else...?

If you finish this, I will nostaglia all over my walls

lost woods in ocarina of time linked to the woods in majoras mask, yeah its a different game but I guess thats how it went

Is this just going to be the field? Will there be the caves under some of the rocks?

For a build this potentially massive, you cant pay attention to too much detail or you will hit the brick limit by the time you get 30-40% done with it.

I'm unfortunately finding this to be an issue with my RPG..

I can make the music tracks for you, if you'd like.

well i was just going to recreate all of what i could until i did hit the brick limit. so if i do finish the field and i have bricks left over, i'll start on building the rest of the world till i run out
