I. Need. Blockland. For. Xbox.

so, any reason why you need it on the xbox?
i find it works just fine on the PC, and it would be more of a pain to try to remake it for the xbox

Its not our problem if you get bored because your dad kicks you off of the computer. I don't think the developers of this game would take the time to possibly change a game engine for two other consoles (seeing as how we have a ps3 thread too) just so you have something to do when your not bored. Its not like blockland was created in a snap. You can't just say "Oooh make it for xbox" and actually expect it to come out even within the next 8 months. This would take a HUGE amount of time, complexity, and with a new engine, it might not support the epic little things in blockland that make it a huge success and apply to the games originality in the sense of the artistic style. They don't even got blockland on Ubuntu yet, so what makes you think that blockland for the ps3 or xbox is even a realistic goal to set, especially when the new PlayStation Vita is coming out soon, and you know Microsoft is gonna create a system to compete with them somehow. Just think of how long its taking the Blockland Team to complete the v21 update, they have been hard at work for months just on that one update. Think of how long it would take to re-create the game in a whole new engine, i'd guess around 2 years. Making blockland for the xbox is a unrealistic goal for the blockland team, as they are only a small team and to re-code the whole game in a whole different engine.... no, just no.

So i'm gonna go out on a limb here: Blockland will not be made for the xbox or ps3

Edit: Just realized i typed out a huge paragraph.

Double-Edit: And pretty much responded to another thread.

Torque is supported for the Xbox.

Torque is supported for the Xbox.
Pretty sure TGE 1.3 isn't.

You don't have to use TorqueX to port to the 360, you can use TSE360 which would mean all the art and scripts could be ported straight over for the most part.  The problem is that Blockland doesn't really fit into the XBLA mindset of "pick up and play".  The learning curve is steeper than anything currently on XBLA.

It would have to be a boxed title, which means getting a publisher.  Also there's tons of testing certification you have to go through which takes time and money.  Plus there are marketability concerns with the game, even on the PC.

Don't hold your breath.

Wasn't  crysis made on torque?

Blockland is basically standalone at the moment. To even consider having it put on Xbox would mean linking up with Microsoft. Since it's so small, Microsoft might try to eat us up for exclusivity. There would be little to no profit to be made, and suddenly everyone would be throwing out stuffty reviews saying "Lego Clone on Xbox." That's another thing - Blockland barely gets away with not being Lego at the moment. Microsoft would be much more strict, and for all we know, they'd go "We can't support this project on our console - It's too similar to Lego to make association."

Just a few of the arguments against this.

That is just a ridiculous suggestion, how do you suppose you will be able to control everything with only xbox controller buttons?
