Author Topic: Server experiences fatal crash "Polygon ERROR"  (Read 837 times)

I was just playing on the Bedroom map on my server today when console is suddenly flooded with some "ERROR: Polygon mismatch clipping" stuff or something, then blockland freezes and crashes.

Wtf is going on?

Could be a corrupted mod that you've installed.

I just did a massive sweep of my addons folder and removed a ton of bad addons. There aren't any others I can find or think of. If you want to, look through my console though, to see the addons I have.

Now its starting to happen on other servers as well. Help!

If it's happening on other servers it could be client sided, do you have like, Funky Shirt or anything infectious and dangerous?

You could try deleting your cache.db. You may have a corrupted model in it.

ERROR: CSGPlane::clipWindingToPlaneFront: error in polygon clipper

CSG is a system which uses boolean operators to combine shapes in order to create complex surfaces, CSGPlane being one of those surfaces. It seems that the engine tried to extrapolate a potentionally corrupted (as Greek2me said) model to the front of another surface.

I'll try looking through your add-ons list in a moment to see what possibly could contain the model.

What the hell is this?

That looks like something with the CS file on a brick add-on.

Those are my two primary brickpacks that are used for Block Trek. I prefer using these two large brickpacks over 50 other tiny ones. They are necessary for the Constitution Class project.

The server wouldn't use the model unless it was an enabled add-on, even if it was in cache.db. Secondly, deleting it and not getting rid of the add-on would only re-add it.

I'm guessing from what you're saying that I probably downloaded some garbage model from someone's server, then when I hosted my own server, I crashed.
