why does everyone use photobucket for their images is beyond me
really, PB limits a ton of things, such as image size, bandwidth, etc
it even converts uploaded pics to gay JPG

imageshack/tinypic aren't valid alternatives either
imageshack requires you to make an account or use their software to post things on the web and even so the quality is shoddy and does not allow .gifs whatsoever
and tinypic is basically the MySpace of image hosters

the only good image hoster I've found is puush, which uses a quaint little piece of software that uploads pics in a wide range of ways, and doesn't get in the way in the process, and even on the subject of the account stuff it's minimalistinc and non-demanding.
however the only people I know that use it are Supreme Guy... and that's basically it.

God damn it I hate Imageshack. Why do people use it?

imgur isn't bad, but they do have buggy times.

i have never used anything BUT imageshack.
i dont see why it matters if you need an account or not. most hosts do and its free anyways.

and no, there are no watermarks or banners from the hosts unless for some odd reason you choose to.

Why is tinypic considered bad? I use it very often, and I can not really see any downsides.

I DID NOT KNOW THIS.

if you like software installed, you best be using picasa and host stuff on your google account.

can you upload gifs with it?
can you edit the software to NOT get in the way?

what about the "myspacey" stylization of the site, the pointless gallery of images, the fact every image you upload gets its own unnecessary page?

whole argument is heavy bias
the thing I actually like about puush is that it's an icon in the taskbar instead of a bigass window

No it doesn't. I just checked.

imgur.com + hyperdesktop
localhostr.com + localhostr uploadr

and you're all set

Looks like Cyber is tragically misinformed about Imageshack, I've never used anything else for hosting my pictures and made an account anyway since it lets me keep track of all the images I upload incase I want to hang onto them and I've never had any problems with it

imgur.com and localhostr.com

I use an old blog that is now serving as an image hosting site.

I think you've never used Photobucket?
I've uploaded 1920x1200 images without it changing anything about their size, they removed the bandwidth limits recently, and it doesn't change images to JPG
I've used Photobucket for damn near my entire membership on this forum
and I don't plan on switching anytime soon
