Yeah, saying that it needs to be a 2D Room is broken. But saying "Not top down view" helps.
I am sure he means isometric.

something like this

everyone picks one sector or more and then edits their own take

and then they also make doors in the borders so that it leads into another cell

and when everyone has done theirs I compile them and remove the cell directive outline to make it look nice

This somehow reminds me of that longcat thread where everyone made a different section

well what format should it be in?

skyscraper where everyone takes an entire floor and does their own style? but then that begs the question about characters and sizing

i think it should be a set of platforms in a grid style, but at a 3/4 top down angle so we can place characters n stuff on our own thing and in the end have a bunch of characters and objects and what not sitting around

make each platform 48tallx64wide (hence 3/4 top down) and have a 5x5 or 6x6 grid (i don't think there's even 25 regular pixel artists here though)
