Nice color selection.

It looked too small to be deadly.

Very cool, but there's one thing I want to point out:

In this image, it's not that hard to distinguish the background from the normal tiles. In-game, this would most likely be different. I don't know if it's just me though.

I agree.

I think that background/foreground and normal tiles should be different but similar, if that makes sense
like you look at the whole thing and see that all the layers mesh together but still being able to distinguish them

or something

like in the image the background is darker and has brick tiles but the grey blocks are still very similar to the normal ones

I don't really have a "game" planned, but I will make the BG tiles either much darker or have different appearance.

You're doing the legs wrong but other than that it's cool.

quote to the OP
= 3D - three-dimensional bits of work that has depth, height and length. It gives greater detail to the artwork and makes the artwork more interesting.
the term you're looking for is voxels, and if you don't mind, i'd love to recommend some links to both voxel editors, common painting programs that can be used for pixel art, .gif makers and etc.

didn't think of that, whoops

the reason i ran into that was because i was just about to ask if posting voxel stuff in this thread was okay
hmm

thats not voxels guys, thats isometric.

right right, i mean i wanted to post voxel stuff and misinterpreted what master blaster put in the OP as voxel art when it was really isometric art he was talking about.
