what do you guys use to make gifs?

Game Maker to save the initial GIF, Microsoft GIF Animator to set the speed, loop it, and set transparency if needed.

The reason I don't use Microsoft GIF Animator by itself is because it compresses colors poorly.  Saving with Game Maker first fixes this.
