yes but that art is more styled with
snes in mind, while a lot of indie devs use the 8-bit mario bros look, and it just doesnt work unless you put in a lot of detail, which you cant do with 8-bit (inspired) graphics.
EDIT; actually, a lot of detail isn't a selling point for the nes graphics, now that i think about it. with nes graphics you have to be careful and make sure you dont add that modern tinge to it (lighting, effects, ect) because those really spoil the effect and make the blocky textures look 3-d and its really weird and ugly.
