40 Minutes in 4 Minutes

Featuring Aludane and IcyGamma.

Built in 2010 as a public role play server, Isar Tower is nothing but a broken save in 2012.

Aludane and IcyGamma film themselves renovating floor 8 of Isar Tower, demolishing old apartments and rebuilding a new design.

This took 40 minutes. You'll see it in 4 minutes. We decided to film this after doing another floor, seemed like a good idea. I've seen only one other Blockland timelapse, and it was pwnsome.

I always found timelapsing in Blockland so awesome!

Really enjoyed your video :D

As a video it was very neat, but design-wise the new version is awful for a residential block.

Thanks.

Thing is, Isar never was suppose to be residential. Two floors sort of became apartments by accident, to give people something to do while I was building.

The new floor is meant to be a bit like office cubicles, but as rooms.

Thanks, timelapses in BL are fun to watch. Needs to be MOAR.

can you open up a server.
i really want to see isar for one time

I lol'd at how once you started reconstructing all aludane did was run around like a goof XD

Nah, he was just cautiously watching what I was doing so he knew what to do. He went afk a couple times as well.

He's been doing eventing, proposing ideas, and doing a lot of building for the renovation. This video was time pressured, he does jump around a lot but that isn't a justified reflection on his involvement.

Aludane builds very neatly, he is very organized, and he streamlines what he does. His builds are very symmetrically aligned and he has a steady hand when it comes to demolishing bricks.

Compared to me, I work very quickly. I slap up whatever will fit and will get the job done quickly. I don't like replacing what works (i.e updating outdated events or fixing imperfections) and when I comes to demolishing I go wild to get everything cleared quickly.

If Aludane is a perfectionist, I am the pragmatic one. Sometimes I think he hates my building decisions, though he's too polite to tell me I am doing a rushed job haha. It makes for a perfect team job though, I think.

How did you build and record at the same time so smooth?

Lol at everyone who wants you to host this again

It's not that hard to make your own tower, folks.

Also, I would like to be able to play with you on Blockland sometime

How do people do these time lapses? Are they just sped up normal videos, or is there literal picture taking every few seconds or so using some program?

Also, music choice was neat but the final product itself is meh.

Icy used fraps, videos were recorded at either 5 or 10 fps. Full-size was used for best quality. Recording at 60 fps would take up 100gb or more considering full size.

It would have been more interesting if you had done some of they would have done during a real renovations, such as temporary support beams.

It was still a fun watch.

Cool timelapse, what brick packs did you use?

Thanks!

(Imo useless support beams don't really reflect the process of building though)
