people always make maps and it seems fun, but how do you make maps? plz help!

You can actually do it within the game, if you know what you are doing. But it's not as easy as you might think to make a good map.

how do you do it in the game? im new to blockland so ty for helping :cookie:

Use the mission editor, you can find it here: http://www.blockland.us/smf/index.php?topic=18812.0

Your best bet is to play around with existing maps until you get the hang of it, but don't save them if you haven't actually made anything. If you overwrite an existing map, the players who join your server will not be affected by the changes, and they will not notice any texture changes.

ty ive got mission editor so all i need to do is mess around with it, ty for your help cannon, here's a cookie(or more) :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

where do i put my mission editor, i put it in the blockland main, and i press f11 and it dont do anything, plz help :panda:

You need to be the host of the server, it won't work if you are on another player's server, or if you join your own dedicated server. You must be the host. I don't use Koden's mod, but if it generates a .bat file that says something like; "Blockland - Mission Editor", then open that instead of the executable/shortcut.

it generates the .bat file but it still doesnt work when im the host...this is confusing

You don't only use the mission editor to make maps.
To make maps with an interior, such as the bedroom or kitchen map, you will need an external map making application, that is capable of exporting .dif files. (it's .dif, right? I'm getting confused with all of the file types)

could quark make a map?

Yes, Quark is fine.
I know of 3 programs that are able to make maps for Blockland.

Quark - don't really recommend
Hammer - okay, your best choice if you're a beginner
Torque Constructor - is now free, and is the most recommended one.

ty i'll probobly get torque constructor, have ice cream and a cookie :iceCream: :cookie:

how do i change colors and make terrains and stuff on torque constructor?

Terrain is done with the mission editor.

"Colours" are textures.
I'm kinda tired right now to explain it all, but I suggest you read the manual.
(It comes with one, right?)
