Author Topic: That Falling Box Game - v0.7  (Read 16031 times)

you can fix that by going in your home folder (C:\Users\Whatever Username) and deleting falling-box-settings and falling-box-profile

though it should put that option in by default :/

did you just remove the zip download

cause the file doesnt exist anymore apparantly and a new .love file is 38 seconds old

i had to do a quick fix

files are done uploading now.

lol i just checked

seems like i caught a discreet update to the files

Ahh what are the controls

Why is the camera so BADDDD

Ahh what are the controls

whoops that last bit of information is mostly false now, i should probably update that

and if you're going to say the camera is BAAAADDDDDADADSBADAFVDF at least loving say what's bad about it

that would be more helpful then just whining about it

it jumps around unexpectedly based on player position

when it zooms out its really hard to see who's where unless you're quick to adapting position change.

Also, gotta love that cleaner.

Gameplay itself is rather well done. Its basic setup is easy to get used to.

However, I keep getting annoyed by the fact you can't pick up the block directly underneath you like in Super Mario War or whatever. If you'd add that as a function gameplay could get even mroe hectic and less bot-biased (since they are coded to always approach a block from the side.

As a suggestion, add more localized controls so multiple people can play on one computer. I suggest:

1) Arrow keys + /
2) WASD + E
3) YGHJ + u
4) Numpad?

It would also be good if we could reconfig each controls.

i could make the camera's zooming speed a setting

when it's slow, it has trouble keeping up with the player when it's moving out

when it's fast, it's hard to keep up with positions.

and i probably won't add the ability to pick up a block under you. that'd be too easy :P

>spawn

>die fron getting crushed
>spawn
...
etc.

The only time the camera should move is when the screen is shaking.

this is because you are bad at multitasking :)
The only time the camera should move is when the screen is shaking.
but then everything will be too tiny :/

At the resoloution the game runs at, it looks pretty good.

You should add things such as special game-modes, initial starting structures (boxes) and a master server.

game-modes,
initial starting structures (boxes)
master server.
planned
a possibility
probably won't happen unless i get a good machine for hosting.

daro I'm actually pretty good at this lua thing
