What are my options? D: I only played the visual ones. I tried Open, Close, Knock, Turn, etc. I don't know what to do.
It's been a while since I've played the original Zork, but you should be able to use n, e, s and w to move in the four cardinal directions, along with commands like "inventory" and "take".

I managed to open the mailbox and read the leaflet, but... I'm not sure... what to do...

Hmm. "walk north" worked. I got Take down. Thanks.

If your family is too poor to afford you a new computer, or you to save up your own loving money and buy one, you should be a PC gamer.
I'm trying to save up money, but:
if I got any money from say, mowing lawns, it would go straight to the bank, and I'd never get to use it for anything but education.
No matter what. I really want to game on PC, I just can't afford it.

The door in the beginning is a proverbial red herring, by the way. You can't open it at all.

Simcity 2000 Network edition

Yep, I found the back window, got in, then climbed down the stairs and, not knowing how to climb back up, walked right into a grue and died. It was sort of fun to die this way in Grand Inquisitor, since it was visual to a point. But in the original game, just getting that text... makes you pretty sad.

Edit: I can't save in this, which I assume is the applet security blocking it as mentioned under the game. How exactly do I add it too my Trusted list so the game can save? I found the Trusted Certificates list, but I'm not sure what to enter.
