Christ almighty I played a game as Leona top for stuffs n' giggles

Even when building full tank, I could trade more damage against Garen while laning.

when playing leona top all you need for damage is a triforce and a sunfire

everything else is defense/support

Leona's base stats and ability damage are awkwardly high scaled for a champion that's made to be a tank.

I grabbed an iceborn gauntlet in place of the triforce, mostly for the slow.  This would work too, right?

Leona's base stats and ability damage are awkwardly high scaled for a champion that's made to be a tank.

This reminded me of amumu, so I decided to compare their base/AP scaling

Their ults have EXACTLY THE SAME base damage and AP scaling, but overall Amumu seems much more bursty as well as having a consistent AoE drain if built AP.  If having more tanky items, I think Leona would fare better.
