People don't have to sit and wait to use their ults.

He can pull and deal out damage during the fight and finish someone off when they get low. In fact, doing this will increase his ult's damage. He's also useful if he has more kills than the tank and support, considering he does stuff during the fight such as pulling, aoeing, autoattacking, etc, and not just waiting to snipe a kill as you described.

If they're just waiting to last hit then it's the player, not the champion.

I guess I was over-exaggerating with the whole "They sit back and wait to snipe" thing, but with a Darius on your team they generally pick up every kill if they were involved in the fight. They should instead be allowing the ad carry to get most of the kills to build up the main damage source on the team.

went support fiddle, was going to jungle but then somebody else took it after
went 5:0:5 before they surrendered...
our team was disconnecting randomly lol

Just had a Katarina accuse me as Veigar of requiring no skill
I saw a Katarina who nearly carried her team who did nothing but flash/blink in and ult
And her items were all boots
Nearly carried her team
But her team was too bad

playing on pbe client is fun
people joke with teamcomp and stuff and when you lose game it's "whatever man, pbe"

who's that chick in the picture?

you know playing katarina efficiently requires way more skill than just being the one trick pony veigar is

because shes a melee mage/hybrid stufffest she needs the best positioning in teamfights, Knowing when to go in and like scarra would say

Do i get the reset? Yes i got the reset!

Yes, you can say that, but Veigar can require all sorts of timing and placement, and he fares poorly in heavy team fights. I'm also a moron, but there's my argument for myself.
All I can say about Kat is what I have seen. That Kat was actually getting plenty of kills just using that strategy.
All boots

Yes i didint say veigar doesnt need skill but kata needs way more

ap lulu is fun as hell. out csed the enemy vlad because of massive poke (wtf why didnt he just heal?) and was eventually able to zone him. in the end the lich bane procs stacked up and they were getting hit with like, 500 damage autoattacks between 700 damage spells XD

Draven is really fun but you have to be good to use him, like Ezreal, so I know who I'm practicing forever.

I feel like Kat has a little less to worry about in the grand scheme of things.

My experience playing both of them has told me that Veigar is traditionally the more difficult.

Yes he has CC, but other than that (Excluding summoners) he has no escapes.

Not to mention a low base health and move speed he is very weak throughout the whole game unless he builds to counter.

Kat isn't a tank or very tough so she can also die; albeit Veigar will die quicker.

But her move speed is a bit higher, and she has a relatively short cd blink.

As for toughness if I remember correctly shunpo if used with her skill buff ability gets a % dmg reduction.

Overall I've always felt veigar has to be more worried about not dying, THEN everything Kat has to worry about.

Kat gets a little more elbow room in worrying about defense.

Offensively Veigar basically picks the AP carry and ults them with a Q, dark matter requires moderate skill to land perfectly as does the stun ring.

Veigar has two, brainless, click and target nukes, but a stun and an aoe which require medium skill to use effectively.

Katarina has two skills that feel more skill oriented and its when to use the skill buff and when and where to shunpo.

Not saying that the rest of her kit doesn't require skill but with everything else its more of a positioning/who to target deal.

Kat has one brainless skill being her dagger, the rest all require thought into positioning more than being worried about using them properly.

Veigar has to worry about positioning and his skill to get the desired effect of his aoe and CC so he wins the "harder to play" vote for me :-s

i hate his cooldown refresh, it gets to be handicapped in a chase

offtopic: this is the 610000 post in games :OOO

The only prob with Kat and survivability is that she is a melee ranged caster who needs to get in to melee range for the full effect of her ult. Her ult is channeled and roots her in place for the duration and she has no CC to keep herself alive.

BTW, what's everyone's opinion on the new GP10 on the AP Mid meta that's seemed to be moving into the pro scene? Taking Kage's Pick and Philo as well as gp10 runes so that the AP Mid can build into the late game better.
