Detect magic on both doors
[2] - Lancelot trys casting a spell to find any magic that may be protecting the 2 passageways, but the spell fails. Luckily, the light of the spell caused something shiny to glimmer on the left passageway.

Inventory: Torn-cloth robe and Staff of Frost


Gets up, dusting himself off. He'd attempt to go into the passage on the right, rather carelessly.
[2] - Pitbull dusts himself off and stumbles into the right passageway. Still dazed from the fall, he fails to notice the sleeping troll and falls over him, awakening the troll. The troll attacks.

Health: 90/100
Inventory: Brittle Chainmail Armour, Rifle, and 10 or so shots.


Check the left hole
[5] - Masterockets examines the left passageway and unearths a gnarly looking bear trap and hastily disarms it.

Health: 100/100
Inventory: Torn Leather Armour and 2 daggers.

Attempt to take trap for later use

Can I use frost attacks without losing magicka because of my staff?  What does my staff do?  How do I get magicka back?

Staffs and spells are completely different. Staffs will cast a spell without using magicka, while casting a normal spell will use magicka. Your staff, in this case, can cast a cone of frost infront of you. There are 2 ways to get back magicka, 1) By waiting until your next turn (You will gain +10 magicka every turn, so next roll, you will have 85 magicka if you use no magic. Or 2) By drinking a mana potion.

I should probably add this to the OP.

Ok, I understand the magic system now! 

Staffs are typed with pieces that determine the spell, the actual staff part determines the power of the spell.  No magicka needed for staffs.

Magicka is used for any type of spell.  You replenish ten points each round. 

I use my frost spell on the troll.

Screamed, a manly scream of course, and ran away attempting to load his rifle to fire a shot at the troll!
[5] - Pitbull manages to run away and gets a well aimed shot into the trolls chest. The troll falls on its knees.

Health: 90/100
Inventory: Brittle Chainmail Armour, Rifle, and 9 bullets.

[4] - Masterockets manages to store the trap in his pack for later use.

Inventory: Torn Leather Armour, two daggers, and a bear trap.

[4] - Lancelot casts a frost spell through the power of his staff at the troll and manages to finish it off.

Magicka: 85/100
Inventory: Torn-cloth robe and Staff of Frost

Crap, my robe is torn..  Patch that up with a simple spell.


Im going to bed now and will be going out of town tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan, Ill have internet during certain spots of the day, allowing me to update.

Crap, my robe is torn..  Patch that up with a simple spell.
[1] - Lancelot attempts to cast a simple spell to fix the tear in his robe. Sadly, he sneezes as he casts the spell and ends up making the tear worse.

Inventory: Shreaded Cloth robe and Staff of Frost


Loot the troll
[4] - Masterockets loots the troll and manages to find two keys and a match.

Health: 100/100
Inventory: Torn Leather Armour, two daggers, a bear trap, 2 keys, and a match.



Back)) Attempt to finish off the troll.
[2] Pitbull tries to fire off another shot at the already dead troll, but doesnt realize his gun is jammed. He fires his gun and a shockwave manages to knock him out and causing pretty bad damage.

Penalty: Unconscious for 3 turns
Health: 50/100
Inventory: Brittle Chainmail Armour, Rifle, and 8 bullets
