hote.
"Follow us. We'll show you."

what season is it lol

Autumn.

I adjust my grip on the MP5, following Jacov.

We give him a brief overview of the hospital, then actually show him around.
"This is the podiatry floor... the head and neck floor... the optometry floor... the spinal floor... and the generic ward. Yes, they all have beds and food."

"Podiatry, sprain an ankle, go there. Head and neck, obvious. Optometry, also rather obvious, get contact lenses and such. The spinal floor... Well I really hope you don't have to go there. Generic ward is medicine, painkillers, and the like. I suppose that's it. Oh, and please try not to abuse the painkillers. I don't need anybody all doped up around here, especially not around firearms."

"Especially not with us around. If we catch you, we'll lock you in a closet and give you minimal food and water for a week."

"Hey, could we have some alone time for a second? Thanks."
I take Alexia to one of the wards.
"I've always kind of liked you."

I blinked, not exactly sure I had heard him right. "Er... Excuse me?" I asked shyly.

"I've always liked you. You've been rather friendly to me, and quite helpful to all of us."

I blushed slightly. "I- Er... t-thank you."

i honestly have no clue what i'd say to a woman in this situation lol
"Do you like me?"

My blush deepened, and I looked up at Jacov. "I..." I struggled to actually find words to say, this coming so unexpectedly. "Y-yes, actually. I-I d-do." I stammered.

GET ON WITH IT

When the man takes the woman away, I pull down my medical mask and spit out a candy wrapper into my hand. I open it up and look at something printed onto it. I whistle calmly to myself as I do so. "Why do they decide to stick me with one last job... 'It won't benefit us, it's all for you! Trust us, it took us since we started giving you hits to find this person!'... My ass..." I muttered to myself. I then balled up the wrapper to a point where it was as small as possible, stuck it in the side of my mouth and pulled my mask back up.

I give her a hug.
I think to myself, I wish my family didn't die during the invasion...
"Thanks."
we walk off into the sunset as the screen fades to black.

I jerk the magazine shut and look around the room I've resided in for the last couple of days. I had an odd feeling. It was almost as if the room was my first possession since I met everyone. I stand up and make the bed and fix the curtains. I straighten up the furniture and decor. I step back and smile, observing the cleanliness. I roll up the magazine and put it into my backpack.

"We should go get some food or something."
