I managed to kill them right in front of the basement door. I knocked on it a few times. "Hello? I'm hear to install your new heating system..."

I made a new AMTS and because I have schizophrenia, I gave her a name.
Also, all mail trucks have an ID number. I saw one with the ID 3304508 irl, and used that.
