How to make music

i was wondering how you make music i have the music and i but it in to blockland and it does not work please help

1)take an mp3 file,or whatever format it is.
2)cut it so it's less of 40 seconds.
3)convert it in .ogg format.
4)use any program you want (use audacity,it's easy to use) to make it mono.

put the file in the music folder.
