Author Topic: Do you care about your school grade?  (Read 1926 times)

Grades on assignments no, Grades for the quarter and semester yes.

Not really...

As long as its a B or higher I'll be okay.

grades get you into the top 5% of colleges, if you even want to go to them.
as most will take anyone with money.

and grades earn you some grants for school. not that you need them to pay for school, but its an option.

otherwise they arent so important in basically any other aspect of life.

Yes, or my mother and father will rape me.

and the fact most of the things you learn you won't use in life

Yeah, I care.  Otherwise what the forget am I doing with my academic career other than burning money if I just blow it all off.

The real question: Do you care about your future life and being a successful image of your children?  If no, would you rather live in an apartment and work a fryer your whole life?
Yes, I do care about my grades.  I've been trying my hardest to get straight A's but it's literally impossible for me.

If you're actually talented at something else you might get to slip by with that, but yeah, grades count too.

No. Grades don't matter. At all. As long as you have a college degree, the place you went is almost extraneous. I have an IQ in the top 0.5% of the world and the only classes I've received A grades in are Computer Science, Computer Game Design, and AP Psychology.

Furthermore, a college degree isn't required to start your own company. And that's exactly what I intend to do. forget being a chump. I'd much rather be mother loving Sir Richard Branson on a private island in a hammock sending emails than some paper pusher in a cubicle.

I picture it like this:

If I do good in school, I will get hired to edit or write as a columnist in the local newspaper, and thus be able to buy my own house, and have a girlfriend to move in with.  If I do bad, I won't be able to go swimming in my pool ass naked at night time.

There's always the chance you won't make it as big time richy mcgee.

I don't like school. The only thing I'm interested in History, Woodshop and Gym.
But I still get straight A's in all my classes

I didn't say there wasn't. But I'll be damned if I don't. I have multiple million dollars at my beck and call, and I will use them appropriately.

I don't get to keep this laptop I'm using currently if I don't get straight A's.

I have never gotten straight A's in my life so
fuuuuuuuck

As long as I get a C or better I'm happy
