That makes no sense, its not just a flag, its a symbol of the confederacy (or rebels, whatever you want to call them) and what they promoted. Which was slavery and other immoral laws. If I walked around with a swastika on my shirt do you think people would be ok if I said "oh guys its just a symbol".
