The thing is, even when I get up slowly, I get them. Once or twice I've gotten one just changing positions in a chair to like grab something under me. I'm mostly afraid I'll get one while driving or something.

i used to get these frequently until i started doing stuff like martial arts and running
now i really only get them when i've been crouching for a long time, like when i'm doing yardwork

You usually get them when your body is still growing. Once you stop growing, you usually stop getting them.
