Hey guys.  I decided that I'll start working out as soon as school lets out.  I've been reading this website called http://nerdfitness.com/ and it's really awesome.  Steve, the creator, is very knowledgeable and wants to help other people get into fitness.  He writes posts about dieting, exercise, weight lifting, running, and much, much more.  Whether you want to burn fat, build muscle, or just become the best you can, this is the site for you.

A major part of the site is called "Real Life Roleplaying," in which you have a "race" and a "class/profession."

It is described in detail HERE.  This on its own made me actually interested in working out and getting fit.

The website has a strong and supportive community that you can rely on for motivation, answers to questions, and more.

You've tried working out before.  You've said you'll start doing it.  Maybe tomorrow.  Tomorrow, I swear.  School has been really busy lately, next monday I start working out.  Not anymore:

I've decided I'm going to be a Monk-Assassin.  I'm going to be taking Krav Maga this summer.  I'm also going to be doing parkour, distance running, and sprinting exercises.  I also want to learn to do a handstand.  I'll be doing both free weight and bodyweight training, with a bit of heavy lifting thrown in there for good measure.  I'm also going to be on the Paleo Diet.

My long term goals are for the end of this summer:
  • Run a 7 minute mile
  • Sprint a 6.5 second 50 yard dash
  • Bench 165 (my bodyweight)
  • Do at least one handstand pushup

Pretty cool. I'll look into it. I'd be at a good place to start this stuff, I'm just finishing a semester of weight training.

So yeah I'm going to do a 9 week running program, a weight lifting program, and I'm beginning Krav Maga this summer.

I'll be a mix of Ranger/Monk, though I'm not sure how well Krav Maga fits into the Monks.
