Ugh

I'll finish editing OP later, I have finals tomorrow and it's 12:30.

Man what's up with this nerd stuff? Can't you just go out and run/sprint/bike/jump rope and lift weights and have fun without this weird gimmick tacked on?

it helps to motivate me.  it's a clearer direction and purpose.  I want to be an assassin, and that means I need to have certain qualities. I want to be a monk, and that means I need to have other qualities.

it's good, and plus you can find workouts designed for your type.

New 6-Week Challenge

What about the underweight people who try to gain weight but can't?

Okay so im confused, I chose I wanted to be an assasin, but Where do I start?

Considering you are 13 you may have not reached your growth spurt yet. Additionally you probably need more protein in your diet instead of carbohydrates. I don't really know you but I am guessing you probably don't do much physical activity. Eating lots of grain's is part of a healthy diet because they give you energy but eating only carbs is not healthy. Besides fruits and vegetables which help keep your body clean and protected from diseases, protein from meats but also other foods like rice/beans are necessary for growth. Protein helps build muscle but you can't just eat protein and expect to gain mass. You have to work out to use the eaten protein for it to be translated into muscle.

@axolotl

Don't begin parkour till you are physically fit.
Im doing this stuff for skateboarding, not parkour, its essentially almost the same thing

over the past month I snapped my board and out of depression (not really) I started eating and being on the computer too much and once i got back on board I was like "holy stuff im fat"
im almost a bit overweight, I have moobs and a hugeass gut, I just wanna tone that down.

I'm almost 14 and I've been underweight since I was about 5.

Where do I start?
Just begin with something simple.  If you are 13, you should probably go with the nerdfitness mentality of freeweights and bodyweight training.  Make a schedule up.

Test yourself and see what you are capable of.  How many pushups can you do?  How many situps? How fast can you run a mile?  A 50 yard dash?  Squats?

If you're anything like I was at 13, I'd recommend doing this:
Every other day
3 sets of 10 pushups
3 sets of 25 situps
3 sets of 20 squats
3 sets of 3 pullups
(Tune to your personal fitness level, of course)
Once you're in your routine, add cardio on the opposite days.  Run a mile every other day.

Do what he said, you shouldn't go paleo imo.

Oh well then yes, you should do some running and bodyweight training.

By the way guys, please register on the site because I am a shallow pool of information.  The guys on that site are extremely knowledgeable, and will jump at the chance to help a newcomer get into fitness.  They did for me.

Probably something with your diet then. Or maybe you have some type on medical condition. I am not a doctor but I am just sharing some possible ideas. Do you consider your diet healthy?
