Valley, Alabama
it's called that because it's in the Chattahoochie river valley
the picture is of West Point Lake, and West Point is the really close (like, less than a fifteen minute drive at most) city in Georgia
my Valley and West Point were so tied by a textile industry some time ago, that the Chambers County (the county Valley is in) is in EST, unlike the rest of Alabama
no maps show it though, which is weird, but phones and computers do set to EST when you enter
the mill used to still run until a couple of years ago, at which point a lot of jobs were lost and trains stopped running much at all (not that they were very active before). so I guess someone felt bad, and a KIA plant moved in really close, and that helped very much with the jobs, because with the actual KIA factory, a bunch of other suppliers' factories also arrived

oh
you only asked for the names

oh well~

I'll post photos but most of my city is demolished and being rebuilt due to earthquakes. Our city landmark was destroyed and people are petitioning to get it salvaged.

Just in the last hour we had a 5.2 magnitude quake that was only 6.8 miles deep. An aftershock, not a new fault.

This is what my city used to look like before:

This is what it looks like now:

This is why my blood boiled when I saw breaking news in America about a tiny quake that had people running into the streets making references to 9/11, when all it did was make televisions and doors vibrate slightly in Washington or something  lol.

I think there are 3 other Blocklander's who live in Christchurch as well.
