Also I rode a tricycle when I was 3 than I got a normal bike at 5 with training wheels, than I went without training wheels at 6 and got my first normal sized bike at 8, after that I used the same bike until the age of 15, I say BS to other kids who want to buy "fixies" just because everyone has one.

If you want a bike that works everywhere, get a Mountain Bike.
I have a 150 dollar Mongoose Mountain bike with dual suspension in my two favorite colors Red and Black....Mostly I like the greyscale colors...
